Mabel B. Dahl, 90 of Bemidji, MN died on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Havenwood Care Center in Bemidji.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji, MN with Pastor Kent Dudley officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Interment will be at the Greenwood cemetery in Bemidji, MN.
Mabel was born May 4, 1927 in Hoople, ND on her Grandmother Halvorson’s farm. She attended and graduated from Hoople , ND. She married the love of her life, Earl O. Dahl April 11, 1948 in Grafton, ND. They lived in Grafton and had their first four children Allen, Ron, Janice and Gary. While in Grafton she worked for Deconis Hospital as a candy striper, then nurses aid. They moved to East Grand Forks in 1955 and had their 5th child Larry. She was fortunate to be a stay at home mom. They moved to Hoople, ND in 1959; then later moved to Drayton in 1962; they had their daughter Sandy. They moved to Bemidji in 1967 and had their son Keith. Mabel and Earl celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on April 11, 2016. She enjoyed shopping, walking, music, laughter, bingo, playing jokes, playing piano, singing, roller skating and especially spending time with family and friends. She was involved in community service and special awards include; Potato Queen, Cheerleader, Point Guard in Basketball, Shirley Temple in parades and tap dancer. She will be remembered as a kind hearted, fun and loving lady who would do anything for her family and others.
She is survived by her 6 children, Ron (Nancy) Dahl of Bemidji, Janice (Leroy) Binkley of Bemidji, Gary (Pam) Dahl of Northome, Larry Dahl of Bemidji, Sandy (Tracy) Pogue of Bemidji and Keith Dahl of Bemidji; 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Allen Dahl, parents, Albert and Gina (Halverson) Anderson and husband Earl O. Dahl on May 2, 2016.
