AMHERST. Word reaches us of the death of Andrew A. Brekke. one of Alban's most successful farmers, which oc-cured at his home Sunday, June 5, at 10 a. in. Mr. Brekke had been ill about 3 weeks with rheumatic fever, when other severe complications set in with fatal results. He was under the best medical care and on Wednes day was considered gaining, being conscious all toe lime and bad even walked a few steps but Thursday the fi-ver returned in lull lorce and in spite of all that could be done he gradually grew weaker until Sunday when ti e sutlering ended, it was a shock to bis acquaintances as Mr. Brekke appeared only a short time ago to be the embodiment of robust health Ho is mourned by his widow and eight children, all of whom were at his bed side. Interment was made at Itosholt from the home church on Thursday at 2 p. to. He was 60 years old and had lived 33 years at his late home.
