Misc. Notes
Here with Bride.
‘Charles F. Pierce, formerly of this city, and his bride were visitors in the city for a short time this morning and left on the noon flyer for Mandan where Mr. Pierce is now locted and has a cozy home in readiness for his bride.
Mrs. Pierce was formerly Miss Jennie Bestul, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Bestul of Grafton, and her wedding took place in that city this morning. It was a quiet home ceremony performed by Rev. Broadbrooks, pastor of the Presbyterian church in the presence of only the family connections including the bride’s sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Haugen of this city. The vows were spoken at 8 o’clock and the bride was atired in her traveling gown, a tailored suit of tan with accessories to match. A prettily appointed wedding breakfast was srved just before the couple took the train for this city.
The bride is a charming young lady who has grown up in Grafton and in that city, she attended the state normal school at Valley City and later taught in both the minto and Grafton city schools. Though her wedding announcement was made but a week ago she has been the recipient of several handsome pre-nuptial honors. Mr. Pierce is the eldest son of E. H Pierce of Grafton, formerly editor of the Graftton Record, and for the past ear or more has been connected with the Mandan Pioneer at Mandan.
