Calbeck Linval A, 83, State Road 5, Cromwell, died Aug. 18 at Witham Memorial Hospital, Lebanon. Born in Noble County on June 13, 1900, he was the son of Milo and Irena (Fry) Calbeck. He was a lifetime resident of the Cromwell and Noble County area. On Nov. 22, 1921 in Albion he married Maris Sharp. He worked as a Standard Oil Agent and was on the board of directors of the Cromwell State Bank. He was a member of the Cromwell Masonic Lodge, the Cromwell Lions and the Scottish Rite of Fort Wayne. Surviving are his wife; two children; a son, Richard of Fort Wayne; and a daughter, Rena Warner of Thorntown; one sister, Catharine Ford of Alhambra, Calif.; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Leland. Services were Sunday at Calvary Lutheran Church, Cromwell. Burial, Oak Park Cemetery. + 8-18-198643
