Raye died in 1918, two days before my mother's 5th birthday.
Billie Jaques remarried, I am not sure when but within a couple of years, I think.
He and his new wife had 3 children, as far as I know.
Two girls, Michelle, Paddy and one son Douglas.
I know nothing about these years, but I presume my mother lived with
Billie and her step mother and step sisters and brother in Vancouver but I am not
sure of that either.
As adults Michelle, Paddy and Douglas lived in Vancouver and when I was young in
the late 40's and early 50's I lived in Victoria with my parents, Audrey and Jack and my
younger brother, David. Every summer we would take a trip on the old CPR boats
and stay with Auntie Michelle and her husband, Uncle Bill and Auntie Paddy and Uncle Dan.
So my mother was quite close to her step sisters and step brother.
We never visited her grandmother, La Dora in Seattle nor any other of her family members.
