Samuel Clyde Rochelle, 2425 North 4th St, died Wednesday, February 23, 1970. He was the owner of Rochelle and Son Meat Co., for 50 years, and member of Maynard Avenue United Methodist Church. Survived by his wife Anna; step-daughters Mrs. Kathleen (Harry) Graham and Mrs. Thelma (Frank) Babbitt of Columbus; grandson Jim Graham, of Jacksonville Florida. No calling hours, private funeral service, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Southwick Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
*Samuel Clyde Rochelle was born Sept. 10, 1887, in Licking County, Ohio, the son of John M Rochelle and Ella Jane France. He was first married to Myrtle M Dill Feb 25, 1911 in Franklin County, but soon went their separate ways; Myrtle Dill marrying next to Kenneth Doty in 1919.
Samuel C married next, Myrtle Mary Jones Johnson on Oct 19, 1920, in Franklin County. She was at that time, divorced from her first husband, Charles E Johnson. She died on Dec 31, 1965.
Samuel Clyde was soon married again, abt 1966, to Anna Kathryn McArdle Deitrick, widow of Alden Deitrick, who were the parents of Thelma and Kathleen Deitrick, Samuel's step daughters.
Anna McArdle Rochelle died in 1988, and is buried by her husband, Alden Deitrick, in Sunset Cemetery.
