Doris Arleen Anderson, 82, of Bagley, Minnesota died on Monday, October 28, 2019 at the Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 from 1-4 PM at the American Legion Auditorium in Bagley, Minnesota. Interment will be held at the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery in Devils Lake, North Dakota at a later date.
The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.
Doris was born on September 17, 1937 in Devils Lake, ND, the daughter of William and Dorris (Hall) Morgan. She was the second of four daughters and grew up on a farm in Crary, ND. She graduated from the Crary Public School in 1955 and attended Minot Teachers College for 1 year. She taught in a one room school house for two years in Webster, ND and Crary, ND. Doris married Harold Anderson on July 10, 1957 at the Crary Methodist Church in Crary, ND. Together they had 8 children; Lynn, Jeffrey, Lynda, Beth, Kory, John, James, and Shane. They lived in Devils Lake, ND before moving to Minnewaukan, ND in 1969. In 1975 they moved to Bagley, MN and Doris was a Teacher’s Aide at the Bagley Elementary School. She and Harold milked cows until 2000, and then they started raising beef cattle. Doris enjoyed living on the farm and loved her cows and horses. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Bagley, MN.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years Harold Anderson of Bagley, MN

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sons John and James; sister and brother-in-law Jeanette and Don Calderwood; grandson Blake Larson; and brother-in-law Glenn Giradot.
