Richard "Dick" Wibley, 60, of Milford Center died Friday, May 1 1998, at Heartland of Marysville. He retired from Scotts after 30 years in the ground maintenance department and was a member of the Twenty Year Club and the Thirty Year Club. He was a member of Faith Baptist Temple. He collected guns and enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He was born Jan. 10, 1938, in Marysville to the late Charles Lynn and Mary Speakman Wibley and was predeceased by a son, Russell Wibley in 1984. His second wife, Wilma Herriott King Wibley, whom he married Dec. 2, 1963, died Oct. 9, 1980. He was also predeceased by his third wife, Maxine Reed Wibley, on Feb. 15, 1998. He is survived by three daughters, Diane Simpson, Peggy (Doug) Pennington and Becky (Todd) German of Marysville; a son, Richard Wibley of Columbus; three stepsons, John (Ruth) King and Merrill (Cookie) Reed of Marysville and Max Reed of Nashville, Term.; two stepdaughters, Sherrill Leopard of Delaware and Candy (Steve) Kise of Bellefontaine; five grandchildren, Sarah and Beth Pennington, Andrea and Timothy German and Travis Simpson; 13 step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Paul (Joyce) Wibley of Magnetic Springs, Charlie (Mary) Wibley of Marysville and Kenny (Velda) Wibley of Lakeview; a sister, Mary (Robert) McConnahea of Lakeview; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Mannasmith-Hale Funeral Home. The Rev. Morgan Miller will officiate and burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to Tricare Hospice of Union County, 232 N. Main St., Suite K, Marysville.
