Chamberlain - At his late residence in London, Ohio, Thursday, May 28, 1885, Vincent S. Chamberlain, aged 77 years.
Deceased was born in Clark county, Ohio, September 4th, 1808. At the age of 18, he removed to London, where he spent the 59 years remaining of his life. In 1833 he was married to Mary Jones, who with two daughters - Miss Mamie, a teacher in the public schools of London, and Mrs. Annie Holt, residing in Pennsylvania - survive him. He was formerly a prominent and highly respected business man of this place, but for many years previous to his death he was unable to attend to business on account of failing health. The funeral ceremonies will take place tomorrow (Saturday) at 10 o’clock a.m. from the family residence, Rev. T. R. Taylor officiating. The remains will be interred in Oak Hill cemetery.
