Mrs. Phoebe Jones
Mrs. Phoebe Jones aged 87 years, one of London's oldest and beloved ladies, died at the home of Mrs. J. A. Bell, South Water street, on Monday evening February 16, after one year's illness, incident to old age. The deceased was born on the Lower Glade and has been a resident of London for many years. Her husband died many years ago. She leaves two sons, Lineous and Charles, the well-known blacksmith.
The Funeral services will take place at the Bell home, 172 South Water street, near Center, on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J. C. Jackson. The body will be placed in the vault at the Oak Hill cemetery.
