I found it interesting how many similarities there were with my father. My father was an avid hiker and prior to his first heart attack was part of the Boeing mountaineers club. One of his favorite hikes was up near the Esmerelda Basin and the Ingalls Peak/Creek area. In fact we took our first family hiking trip up to this spot in 1972. My sister Holly spread some of his ashes there. the rest were spread over Puget Sound. He was also a member of the Dash Point/Browns Point Fire Department for most of his adult life, holding the title of Fire Commissioner for years.
