Shirley Joann PHILLIPS Loving Wife, Mother, Grandma, Great-Grandma and Mother-in-law, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2007 surrounded by her loving family. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Les, her sons, Gary (Greta), Larry (Raelynn) and daughter, Cheryl, grandchildren, Ryan and Jennifer Crossen and Lars Lee Phillips, great-granddaughter, Jaylin Marie Jackson and sister, Laura Miller. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and numerous friends. Shirley was born in Port Gamble, Washington on January 21, 1932 to Luther and Magda Bestul. She was raised in Ferndale, Washington and met the love of her life at Ferndale High School in 1948. She attended Western Washington University and received her nursing certificate from St. Joseph's Hospital in Bellingham in 1953. The family would like to thank our friends, JoAnn Darby, Betty Mason and the staff of Virginia Mason Medical Center, CCU7 and Floor 14, for their loving care and support. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 2, 1:00 p.m., at Ballard First Lutheran Church, 2006 NW 65th Street, Seattle, WA 98117. Burial Services, Saturday, March 3, 1:00 p.m., Green Acres Memorial Park, 5700 Northwest Drive, Ferndale, WA.
