Robert Prentice Wiley, Jr., 81, of Yorkville, Illinois passed away peacefully Saturday, April 25, 2020.
Robert is survived by his wife, DiAnn (nee Bolton) and daughter, Stacy (Charles, Jr) Dexter. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Chase Dexter, Molly Dexter, Emerson Dexter and Craig (Sadye) Dexter; his sister, Nancy Wiley; his brother, Douglas Wiley, sisters-in-law, Daryl (Steven) Devine and Denice (Terrill) Wild, and 4 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Prentice Wiley, Sr and Esther Elizabeth (nee Waechter) and a brother, Kenneth C. Wiley.
Robert was born April 13, 1939 in South Bend Indiana. He attended Northwestern University and served in the United States Army in Korea. He worked as an industrial engineer at Sparton Electronics in Jackson, Michigan and Deleon Springs, Florida.
Robert married DiAnn Bolton on November 27, 1965 in Jackson, Michigan. He and his family relocated to Ormond Beach, Florida in 1985. His retirement years were filled with travel and time spent with family. He is a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, most recently attending Wesley United Methodist in Aurora, Illinois. Donations in his memory can be made to Wesley United Methodist Aurora Food Drive www.wesleyumcaurora.org .
Robert will be interred at his family's cemetery in Wolf Lake, Indiana and a Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
