Margaret Adelia Thomas was the daughter of Milton Eugene Thomas and Elizabeth Adelia Bradley who grew up on adjoining farms in Madison County, Ohio and went to the same school. They had two children: Lohren Williams Thomas born Feb 11 1901 in Madison Co OH and Margaret Adelia Thomas born Sept 25, 1908.
Her father started farming at age 25 and farmed in Monroe Twp, Pleasant Twp and Pike township in Madison Co. OH. Her father was most interested in the breeding and raising of good stock, having full-blooded Percheron horses, shorthorn cattle and poland-china pigs. The family were members of the Plumwood Methodist Episcoal Church in Madison Co OH and were connected with the Rosedale Union Church where his father Milton Eugene Thomas served as Sabbath school superintendent.
