Julia was born north of Kinistino on March 22, 1915. She married Roy Dahl Nov 26, 1938. To this union were born three sons: Blaine, Earl and Kenny. They farmed together until 1975 when Roy passed away. She loved to bake, sew, and tend to her large garden; canning many of her fruits and vegetables for the winter months. She also enjoyed knitting and making doilies. She took great pride by being able to speak and write Norwegian to her family in Canada and Norway. Julia?s last home was Kinistino Jubilee Lodge, where she passed away Feb 17, 2011. She is survived by her sons Blaine (Vi) and Earl (Peggy); one sister Ingeborg; brother Ragnvald (Gladys) Anderson as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Julia is predeceased by her husband Roy; both of her parents; son Kenny; daughter-in-law Gloria and one brother Thorvald Anderson. A graveside service was held from the Rose Hill Cemetery on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Janet Sinclair officiating. Interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery.
