The Wilton N. D. Globe contains the following in regard to a former resident oi this city: Mrs. Wheeler Holmes of Kenmare, N. D. who has suffered with cancer since last fall, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Robert Kerr, April 16. Marie Dahl was born at Lilliehammer, Norway, January 3, 1855, and came to Rochester, Minn., when eleven years old. Two years later she moved to Fergus Falls, where she grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage to Mr. Wheeler Holmes, November 17, 1879. To this union were born four children, Lorenzo, Alfred, Cleve and Martha, who are all living to survive their mother. She is also survived by three sisters and two brothers, Mrs Boe and Mrs. Shade of Kinistino Sask., Mrs. Hintz of Topeka, Kansas, Mathias and Nickolie Dahl of Weldon, Sask. Funeral services were conducted at the home April 18, at 3 o'clock p. m., by Rev. John MacDonald.
