Mitch Davis, 63, of Forest City, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by close family and friends on Monday, December 21, 2020.

He was born in Atchison, Kansas to Gerald "Jerry" and Geraldine (Brown) Davis.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dale "Chip" Davis.
 
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Teresa; his five children and their partners, Krista Davis and Jeremy Nix, Brent and Maria (Blanek) Davis, Jessica (Davis) and Nick Haer, Gregg Davis and Monique Bowler, and Jackie Davis and Zach Kumlin; and his eight grandchildren.

Mitch loved spending time with his family and many friends at his home fixing anything anyone would bring him. He never met a challenge he wasn’t willing to overcome through skill or stubbornness. When he wasn’t fixing things he could be found relaxing next to a good fire with a good drink with his friends from the hollar, who he considered to be family. He loved going on trips on his motorcycle with his best friend, Dale Hummel.
 
Mitch retired from the military after proudly serving in the Navy for 20 years. Through his fireworks display each year, he showed his immeasurable passion for Independence Day and his country.

Years never mattered to Mitch, as he lived his life as full as possible every day. His wish was that everyone he knew would live as loud as possible.

Celebration of life will be held with family and friends at a later date.
