Grant L. Hatling Age 91, died on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue. Grant was born in Fergus Falls, Minnesota on May 25, 1915, and lived in several Minnesota towns until 1953, when the family moved to Sunnyside, Washington, later to Yakima, followed by a move to Burien in 1960, where he lived until 2001 when he became a resident of Providence Point in Issaquah. Grant was a machinist by trade and worked at a variety of jobs, concluding with a position at Boeing Aircraft. He was a very active member of Glendale Lutheran Church and the Aerospace Machinists Industrial District Lodge 751. Grant is survived by his loving wife, Norah; daughter, Darlene and husband, Robert; daughter, Gloria and husband, John; son, Daryl and wife, Leslie. Survivors also include 3 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 9 step-great-grandchildren. Grant was loved by all and will be sorely missed. A Memorial Service of Celebration of Grant's Life will be held on Tuesday, March 6 at 11:00 a.m. at Glendale Lutheran Church, 13455 2nd Ave SW, Burien. The family requests any memorials to be given to Glendale Church.
