Sonja Eggmann Sonja Marie Dahl was born Sept. 14, 1939, in Roseau, Minn., to Walter and Gerda (Urness) Dahl. The family lived in Devils Lake for a time, before moving to Grand Forks, where she graduated from high school in 1957. She furthered her education at the University of North Dakota, with a degree in education. Sonja married John Eggmann, in 1961, in Grand Forks. She taught in Crookston, Minn., where they made their home. They lived in Bemidji, Minn., before moving to Fargo. She did substitute teaching in the Fargo school system from 1973 to 1986. They moved to Bismarck in 1986, where Sonja taught at Hughes Junior High and 1 lorizon Middle School. John died Nov. 7, 2004, and Sonja moved to Kindred in 2006, to be closer to her family. Sonja had resided for the past year at Ecumen Evergreens, Moorhead, Minn., where she died peacefully on Nov. 11, 2014, at 75 years of age. Sonja is survived by her son, Jim (Kathy) Eggmann, Kindred; her grandson, Nick; and a brother, Odin (Sandra) Dahl, Fargo. In addition to her husband, Sonja was preceded in death by two children, Paul and Kathy. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m., all at Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, Minn. Online guest book www. korsmo fune raise r-vice.com.
