Alden Hultin, 70, of Fergus Falls, died Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010.
Alden Thomas Hultin was born to Arvid and Clara (Carpenter) Hultin at Drayton, N.D., on April 23, 1940, and grew up in Fordville, N.D.

His high school years were spent at Park River where he graduated from Walsh County Agricultural School in 1959.
Alden served in the National Guard in high school. After school he joined the U.S. Navy where he served on the USS Ticonderoga. He served two overseas tours from 1959-1963.
On Sept. 5, 1964, Alden married Love Ell Olson, daughter of Fred and Islay Olson. They resided in Crookston until 1972, then moved to Fergus Falls where he worked at Otter Tail Power for 30 years until his retirement in 2002.
Alden currently worked for Quality Toyota driving the courtesy van once a week.
Alden was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper where he enjoyed spending time with his sons in the outdoor sports. He also enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife, Love Ell Hultin; sons, John (Lorie) Hultin and Alden Scott Hultin; and a daughter, Jennifer Hultin, all of Fergus Falls; grandchildren, Tyler (Samantha Schultz), Tanner (Tessa Grant), Ashlie (fiancé Bradley Cooper); great-grand daughter Izabella; three sisters, Pat (Chuck) Magsson of Detroit Lakes, Mary (John) Roy of Ankey, Iowa, Phyllis (Bob) Fick of Vergus; one brother, Wilmar (Lynda) Hultin of Callaway; many nieces, nephews; and a special family friend, Jan Knackendoffel.
Alden was preceded in death by his parents; and and infant brother, Sheldon.
Visitation: Friday one hour prior to the service at the church
Memorial Service:1 p.m. Friday, at the Federated Church, Fergus Falls
