Gerald Leroy "Dink" Miller, age 75, of Albion, formerly of Ligonier, passed away on January 6, 2012, at 11:35 p.m. at North Ridge Village in Albion, IN. He was born on March 7, 1936, in Kendallville, IN, to Ura C. and Doris (Crusen) Miller. On June 5, 1959, he married Sue Ann Goodrich at the Ligonier Methodist Church. She survives.

Dink was a lifetime area resident. He served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1954-1958. He worked for the City of Ligonier and for Monsanto for many years in maintenance. He was a former Ligonier City councilman, a Ligonier Volunteer Fireman for 33 years, a member of the American Legion, the Elks and the Red Knights Motorcycle Club.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Ann Miller of Albion; his children, Mike (Jeana) Miller of Kendallville, Mark (Kim) Miller of Marion, Casey (John Martin) Miller of Dallas, TX; three grandchildren, Meagan (Mike) O'Neill, Brant (Lindsay Bledsoe) Miller, Matt Miller; one great grandchild, Jillian O'Neill; his stepmother, Virginia Miller of Ligonier; one brother, Jerry (Jill) Miller of Lake Whitney, TX; two sisters, Dorothy (Mike) Stier and Carol (Joe) Peoni of Bradenton, FL; three stepbrothers, Monte Tope, Jack (Rosalie) Tope and Gary (Peg) Tope. He was preceded by his parents; a sister, Mary Burns; and a twin brother, Harold Miller.

There will be a funeral service in Dink's honor on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN.

There will be a time of visitation on Monday, January 9, 2012, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Yeager Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine Oncology Department or the Humane Society of Noble County.
