Jeanette F. Shelley, 87, died Monday, January 14, 2013, in Rolling Meadows Healthcare, Lafontaine, Indiana. She was born in Muncie, Indiana on April 12, 1925 to the late James B. and Pearl B. (Stroud) Johnson. Jeanette was a 1943 graduate of Muncie Central High School. She retired from Foster-Forbes Glass Factory of Marion. Jeanette enjoyed sewing, gardening, and watching sports, especially IU Basketball. She loved her dog.
Survivors include her sons, David (Janet) Shelley, Gas City, Bob (Sandy) Shelley, Houston, TX; daughter, Susan Downard, Indianapolis; grandchildren, Heather (Marc) Cain, Jeff (Lindsay) Shelley, Laura (Matt) Renner, Brian (Chelsi) Downard, Katelyn Downard; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James B. and Pearl B. Johnson; former husband, David Shelley; and brother, Blair Johnson.
Visitation will be from 11 am -1 pm on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main Street, Gas City, Indiana.
Funeral Service will be at 1 pm on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main Street, Gas City, Indiana with Reverend Laurie Wolcott officiating.
