William E. Slaymaker William Eugene Slaymaker, 87, who retired as a printer at Municipal Code Co. print shop, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia Ruth Slaymaker. The service will be at 10 a.m. EST Monday at the First Church of the Nazarene, with burial at Culley's MeadowWood Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. EST Sunday at the church. Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Timberlane Road Chapel (850-893-4177) is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, 1545 Raymond Diehl Road, Tallahassee, FL 32308, or First Church of the Nazarene, 1983 Mahan Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32308. William had been a resident of Tallahassee for the past 50 years. He served his country during World War II in the merchant marines. Other survivors include a daughter, Willow Jeannie Cookmeyer of Grants Pass, Ore., and two grandchildren, William Kevin Keller of Van Nuys, Calif., and Julia Marguerite Norin of Reseda, Calif.

Both children are born prior to marriage to Virginia Walker. Willow Eugene Slaymaker has mother’s maiden name of Brooker.
