Robert S. Dahl, 59, Fargo, ND, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 1999, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo. He was a quadriplegic following a car accident in 1973.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Inez Dahl, and his wife Marilyn Bierman Dahl.
Robert S. Dahl was born April 15, 1940, to Stephen and Inez Dahl (Graving) in Fargo, ND. Bob became an eagle scout at age 17. He was a lifetime member of Olivet Lutheran Church. Bob and his wife were leaders in a young adult couples club. Bob was also a manager of Dahl's Super Value. He started at the age of 14 as a carry out boy. He worked at Dahl's for 19 years.
Bob had many friends and interests. He was very handy with tools and directed his four sons in many projects. He had a fully equipped workshop in his garage. He made wine, wrote poetry, and enjoyed their cottage on Big Floyd Lake. Bob enjoyed boating, water skiing, fishing and hunting.
Bob is survived by 5 children, daughter, Cathy Drummond; four sons, Mike, Steve, Jeff and Keith Dahl; one sister, Laverne Holmes; and five grandchildren. Mike Drummond, age 8, Jake Drummond, age 6, Nicole Dahl, age 6, and Lance and Megan Dahl, age 2 years.
Visitation: Sunday, 4--7 p.m., Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo.
Funeral: Monday, 10 AM, Olivet Lutheran Church, Fargo. Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo
