Alvin Rudig, 84, Wabash, died Friday (Sept. 21, 2001) at Royal Oaks Health Care in Terre Haute. Mr. Rudig was a retired United States Postal Service employee in Wabash. He was a member of St. Matthew’s United Church of Christ, Wabash, and was involved with the Moose and the Elks lodges in Wabash. Mr. Rudig was born Jan. 28, 1917, in Andrews, to George and Amanda Shenkel Rudig. He married Lora Jeanne Goudy Sept. 30, 1951. His wife died May 25, 1993. Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Hopkins, Terre Haute; a son, Jeffery Rudig, Wyoming, Ohio; and four grandchildren. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the McDonald Funeral Home, Eddingfield Chapel, 231 Falls Ave., Wabash. Services will be held at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Tuesday with Pastors Richard Rensner and David Blanke officiating. Preferred memorials are to St. Matthew’s United Church of Christ, 1717 N. Wabash St., Wabash, IN 46992, or to American Red Cross disaster relief in care of the funeral home.

ALVIN M. RUDIG, 84, died Friday at Royal Oaks Health Care, Terre Haute.
