In 1900 Maud, Dorothy, and Forrest were living with Leslie Patterson in Keating Township, McKean, PA. Mrs. William Rhodes of Ravenna, Ohio was named as a niece in the obituary of Pitt Abbey. Alive at the time of death of her brother Forrest (see his obituary). CA Death Index: b. NY, father Abbey, mother Jones, name Maud Louise Grigsby. Frances Puckett Goes to Ohio [Los Gatos Daily Times 11-30-1953] says that Maud died on her mother's 80th birthday, in the kitchen of the Abbey Inn, as she helped her mother prepare dinner.
The 1949-1950 Santa Clara City Directory lists John P Grigsby (Maude L) clk 876 Monroe. In 1947 he was listed at the same address but without Maude.
