Calbeck Leland R, 83, of 407 W. 2nd St., Ligonier, died Saturday in Goshen Hospital. Born April 30, 1896 in Noble County, he was the son of Milo and Irena (Fry) Calbeck. He married Gertrude Ferguson May 21, 1970. He had been a lifelong resident of Ligonier, retired as president of the American State Bank and was current chairman of the board. He was a member of the Ligonier United Methodist Church, Scottish Rite and Masonic Lodge. He was a veteran of WW I. Survivors include his wife; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Richard (Mary Jane) Shell of Ligonier; a sister, Mrs. Catharine Ford of Alhambra, Calif.; a brother, Linval of Cromwell. Funeral will be Wednesday at Ulrey Funeral Home in Ligonier. Burial, Oak Park Cemetery. + 5-26-197943
