Marcia Mae West was born in Seattle on March 30, 1925 and passed away on June 3, 2014. She attended John Muir Elementary and graduated from Franklin High School in 1942. In 1944 Marcia joined the Navy where she met the love of her life Charles Mulcahey and they were married in 1947. Charlie and Marcia enjoyed many happy years together until Charlie passed away in the 1975. Marcia met her second Charlie, Charles Dick, and they married in 1982 and had 8 years of adventure together.
As a young girl Marcia spent time hiking, fishing and skiing and continued to enjoy these activities throughout her life. Marcia shared her love of these activities with her family and friends. Over the years there were many camping, backpacking, hiking and skiing trips. Marcia also loved to cook and many a pound was gained enjoying her meals, especially homemade bread and desserts. She spent time volunteering in her children's activities and in the community and passed on her love of life and her desire to help others on to her children.
Marcia will be greatly missed by her family, sons, Michael Mulcahey (Sheila) of Renton and Kevin Mulcahey of Middletown, Rhode Island, daughter Maureen Dahlstrom (Mike) of Seattle, grandchildren, Brennan Mulcahey, Colin Mulcahey (Katherine), Sean Mulcahey, Jennifer Tysor (Morgan), Nathan Mulcahey and Jay Dahlstrom; six great grandchildren and her dear cousin Dorene. The family would also like to extend their gratitude to her caregivers at A Beautiful Living, AFH, especially Virginia, Cherie, Mario and Pam, where they cared for Marcia with love and kindness for the last four years.
A celebration of Marcia's amazing life will be held at a later date.
