Maynard Enger Moe, age 78, passed away at St. Joseph Hospital on Aug. 30, 2018. He was born on Nov. 28, 1939, in Sumas to Arthur and Mable (Enger) Moe.
Maynard graduated from Nooksack Valley High School in 1958. After he served in the U.S. Navy, he graduated from Olympic College. He was an operator at Intalco from 1972 to 2003, when he retired.
Maynard was preceded in death by his sister Charmaine (Bruce) Balcom and sisters-in-law Beverly (Arthur Jr.) and Grace (Stanly) Moe.
Maynard is survived by his wife, Linda; children Cindy Moe Carlsen (Lance) of Bellingham and Chris Moe (Kristine) of Sumas; brothers Arthur Moe of Phoenix and Stan Moe of Puyallup; grandchildren David Moe (Tina) of Sumas, Jon Moe (Michelle) of Sumas, John Mouhanna of Renton and Michael Mouhanna of Seattle; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, in the Sumas Advent Christian Church, 125 Front St., Sumas, with Rev. Carl Crouse officiating. Private interment will be in the Sumas Cemetery.
