"On March 18, 1881, Mr. Marcus D. Wright was united in marriage to Miss Bertie Piper, a daughter of Dr. John J. Piper, of Peone Prairie, Washington, who was for twelve years one of the county commissioners of Spokane county, Washington. Mrs. Wright passed away in 1901, being survived by her husband and seven children, two sons and five daughters". I have no other information on him.40

Lot owner. Deed to M.D. Wright 21 Feb 1901 for Block 5 Lot 14. Wife of M.D. Wright, Bertie Wright died 9 Feb 1901. Lots don't match. Bertie's headstone in Block 10 Lot 7 (shares with several others). M.D. Wright deed for Block 5 Lot 14 and Block 10 Lot 8. It is likely the marker in Block 10 Lot 7 is a cenotaph and she was buried in Block 5 Lot 14.
