Misc. Notes
Born on the Dahl family farm in North Dakota 95 years ago, Clarence Dahl passed away on February 26, 2018. His youth, like others of his generation was challenged by the Depression and WWII,but he grew up with a surprising sunny disposition. The Navy brought him to Seattle, and a respectable baritone singing skill to the Denny Park Lutheran Church. It was here he met and later married Nell Christine(Espeland) Dahl. They were married 66 years until her passing in 2014. They had four boys, Mark (Sandle), Lance (Caroline), Peter (Gail) and Philip (Becky), 9 grand kids, and 2 great grand kids. From an early age the four brothers learned that a 'work party' sponsored by their Dad at the family's beloved cabin along Port Susan Bay was more work than party. But at the end of the day, progress was made though likely child labor laws were bent. Clarence worked at Isaacson Steel, and later Seaport Steel as credit manager, where everyone from coworkers to clients knew him as 'CO', including the loving staff at the Norse Home where he lived his last years.
