Buckles Winifred was born in Jefferson County, Virginia on March 22, 1804 and resided in Va. until 1836 when she removed to Decatur County, Ind., and settled in Noble County in Aug. 1837. On Jan. 17, 1828 she married John Buckles, who died May 31, 1855. She was the mother of 4 children, who are still living in our county. On their arrival they settled in Washington Twp, where she remained until her death. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Albion New Era 6-7-1877
