Clarence Spencer Gaff, 82, of Kimmell, died at 6:05 p.m. Monday (May 5, 2008) at home.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway S., Ligonier. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Pastors Wray McCalester and Anthony Gaff officiating. Burial will be in Stringtown Cemetery, Washington Township.
He was born Aug. 24, 1925, in Green Township, Noble County, to Franklin and Annetta (McNeal) Gaff. On March 10, 1947, he married Emma Jeanne Wiley.
She survives along with four sons, Anthony (Peggy) of Kewanee, Ill., Timothy (Joyce) of Kimmell, Nicholas (Sandy) of Osceola and Mark of Sacramento, Calif.; one daughter, Frances (John) Hawley of Winchester; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Evelyn (Rex) Stangland.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Cynthia Jeanne, and one sister, Millie Boggs.
Mr. Gaff was a model maker for 13 years and a self-employed heating and electrical contractor until he retired. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Illinois and Indiana, the American Legion and VFW. He served in World War II in the European Theater.
