Misc. Notes
Will of George Yeo:

This is the last will and testament of me George Yeo of Barnstaple in the County of Devon, Governor of the Workhouse. I give unto my wife MaryAnn a legacy or sum of One hundred pounds. I also give and bequeath unto my said wife the whole of the furniture, bed and beddings in the bedroom in which we sleep for her own absolute use and benefit. I give and bequeath to my daughter, Lydia Bessie Yeo, the whole of the furniture bed and bedding which used to be in her bedroom in my house in Boutport, Barnstaple. Since removed to the apartments which she now occupies in the same street, together with a legacy or sum of fifty pounds. Subject to the aforesaid legacies and to the payment of my first debts, funeral and testamentary expenses. I give, devise and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of my real and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever unto my said wife for and during the term of her natural life. And from and after her decease I give, devise and bequeath the same unto and to the use of my said daughter, Lydia Bessie Yeo for her own absolute use and benefit. And I declare that in the event of the death of my said daughter durng the lifetime of my said wife leaving lawful issue that then the said trust estate so as a foresaid devised to her shall go to and be equally divided between such issue. I appoint my said wife sole executrix of this my will and revoke all former wills by me made.

In witness whereof I the said George Yeo, the testator have hereunto set my hand this twenty third day of June, One thousand eight hundred and eighty five
